Saying Hello to a New Client
第一次见客户,怎么开口
读完你能在第一次见客户的头两分钟里不冷场:一句话报出名字和公司、道一声谢、递杯水、再问一个对方好答的小问题。全篇都是短句,照着念就能用,不需要任何漂亮词。

Scene: You are meeting a new client for the first time. Her name is Ms. Lin. Her company may buy your software. You have five minutes before the room fills up. Your goal is small and clear. Say hello, give your name, and make her comfortable.
You: Good morning, Ms. Lin. I am Wei from Dataline. Thank you for making time today. It is a real pleasure to meet you at last. Ms. Lin: Nice to meet you too, Wei. Please call me Anna. You: Thank you, Anna. Did you find our office easily?
Ms. Lin: Very easily. The map you sent was clear. You: I am glad. Can I get you a coffee or some water? Ms. Lin: Water would be great, thank you. You: Of course. Before we start, may I ask how long you have been with the team?
Ms. Lin: About three years now. I look after the product side. You: Good to know. I read a little about your new app last night. I look forward to hearing more from you today. Ms. Lin: Happy to walk you through it after the introductions.
Notice how short every line is. You gave your name and your company. You thanked her. You offered a drink. You asked one easy question about her work. None of it was clever, and that is the point. A first hello only needs to be warm and clear.
